Our community-led Diabetes Awareness Campaign reached families and youth through on-ground interaction, educational handouts, and street sessions. Volunteers explained the basics of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, early symptoms, and the importance of routine blood sugar testing. The campaign not only spread vital knowledge but also broke down myths that often delay diagnosis.
Through this initiative, we encouraged people to get tested early, eat mindfully, and seek medical help without stigma — taking one more step toward a diabetes-aware India.
As part of our ongoing commitment to spreading awareness about diabetes among young minds, the Diabetic Youth Foundation conducted an educational drive at SRM Foundation School. The session was designed for students from Classes 6 to 9, aiming to equip them with essential knowledge about diabetes, its management, and the importance of early awareness.
During the session, our team demonstrated how various diabetes management tools function — including Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs), glucometers, and insulin pens — providing students with a hands-on understanding of how individuals with diabetes monitor and regulate their blood sugar levels.
To foster empathy and empowerment, each student was honored with a blue ribbon, symbolizing their role as Diabetes Warriors and allies in the fight against diabetes. The drive concluded with interactive discussions and Q&A sessions, leaving the students informed, inspired, and motivated to spread awareness within their communities.
